Hand coiled & wood-fired in a soda kiln. White stoneware, red slip.
All elements—curves, flames, ash and salt—have created a rich landscape of textures and patterns. Distinctive marks are a result of the making and firing process.
This piece, in particular, was lying on its side in the kiln. The padding that was supporting it has left delicious toast marks on its back.
